Story
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
My name is Harihar Upadhaya, and at 66 years old, I am preparing to take on one of the greatest physical challenges of my life – the London Marathon 2026.
While the marathon itself is a personal milestone, my true motivation comes from a cause very close to my heart: supporting the Help Nepal Network Children's Shelter in Dhulikhel, Nepal. This wonderful charity provides education, safe accommodation, and daily care for young girls who deserve the chance to dream, learn, and build a future full of hope.
As an ACCA professional based in London, I have been fortunate to build a stable career and life. Now, I want to use this opportunity to give back to a community that holds deep meaning for me. Every step I run will be dedicated to these brave young girls, whose lives can be transformed through access to education and a safe home.
By sponsoring my run, you will be directly contributing to:
✅ Education – School fees, books, and supplies
✅ Safe Accommodation – A nurturing home environment
✅ Daily Care – Nutritious meals, healthcare, and emotional support
✅ A Brighter Future – Empowering these girls to become confident, independent women
I am funding all my marathon costs personally, so 100% of your donation will go straight to the Girls Shelter in Dhulikhel, Nepal. No amount is too small - every pound makes a real difference.
I will be sharing regular updates on my training journey and the impactful work of Help Nepal Network as race day approaches. Your encouragement means the world to me - whether through donations, sharing this appeal, or simply sending good wishes.
Together, we can help write a new chapter in these girls’ lives.
With heartfelt thanks,
Harihar Upadhaya ACCA
