I cannot believe myself, but this November, I will be taking part in Child.org's Ride Africa 500km cycling challenge. I’ll be part of a 60 strong team, riding cross-country, through National Parks from Kenya’s Lake Nakuru into the Masai Mara. We are raising money for life-saving work in maternal and child health in Kenya.

I just didn’t have a good reason to say “no” to this challenge, when one of my great friends told me about it. It provides an amazing opportunity on many levels; giving Kenyan mothers and young children access to much-needed healthcare, training alongside a friend (neither previously experienced cyclists!), and I hope, coming across some wildlife along the way.
