The Skihabilitation Week is specifically designed to enable the veterans to regain lost confidence and start to rebuild their fitness and strength. The veterans’ disabilities are increasingly varied and all of them have or are in the process of being medically discharged. They range from combat stress (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) to physical, musculoskeletal, often life-altering injuries.

The ski week is a transformational journey for all the veterans (and for many of those in the support teams) and it often is highly emotional. Many of the veterans, due to the extent of their injuries and or circumstances are living very isolated lives. The Ski Week combined with the additional programmes provide and positively encourage a route out of that.

N.B. 100% of money raised goes to supporting the veterans. All Ski Buddies like me pay our own costs.
