O'i tharddiad yn y Bannau yn afonydd y Taf Fechan a'r Taf Fawr mae taith yr Afon Taf i lawr y cwm a heibio Parc Ynys Angharad ble lleolir yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol eleni oddeutu 30 milltir. O'r fan honno mae'n parhau ar ei thaith hyd at aber Bae Caerdydd. Fel rhan o fis o heriau 'Menter Mai' aelodau a ffrindiau Pwyllgor Apêl Pontypridd i godi arian ar gyfer Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Rhondda Cynon Taf bydd criw ohonom, rhyngom , a thros gyfnod o fis, yn nofio pellter rhithiol y Taf hyd at Barc Ynys Angharad - sef 30 milltir. Byddwn yn gwneud hyn drwy ddefnyddio adnodd lleol y Lido, canolfannau hamdden lleol, afonydd, y mór - pa bynnag ffordd allwn ni i greu digon o 'sblash' a chodi arian! Dolch am ein noddi.

From its source in the Bannau Brycheiniog as two rivers, y Taf Fechan and the Taf Fawr we estimate that the River Taf journeys approximately 30 miles to Pontypridd, flowing past Parc Ynys Angharad where the National Eisteddfod will be located this year. As part of a wider month of fundraisimg challenges organised by members of the Pontypridd fundraising committee and their friends, a group of us are going to attempt to swim the virtual distance of 30 miles throughout the month of May. We'll be doing this sessionally in venues such as the Lido, local leisure centres, local rivers, the sea - wherever we can to create a 'splash' and raise funds.
