Story
Hero has been supported by Project Limitless UK since she was 2 years old. Project Limitless provides children with upper limb differences in the UK with free Koalaa prosthetics.
Project Limitless UK is hosted by the wonderful ALFF, the Alex Lewis FLOAT Foundation (For Love of Assistive Technology) and all donations raised via this page will go entirely into Project Limitless UK, providing prosthetics for children in the UK.
Being part of the Project Limitless UK family has been incredible and we've watched her confidence grow from strength to strength. Hero loves her "baby hand" and a big part of that self-love and acceptance has been thanks to Project Limitless UK: through which she's only ever seen opportunities, and not barriers.
She wanted to try hockey? No problem! Taking up the violin? Why not! Holding a swim float? Sure thing! Riding a bike? Easy peasy.
On June 22nd Hero and Po will be joining others in a sponsored swim, collectively aiming to swim the width of the Channel in Tooting Bec Lido in London. It's a big pool, and a long way, and Hero has been working especially hard on her swimming these past few months and has come along in leaps and bounds.
If you have any pennies spare, please do consider sponsoring the girls for their efforts so we can help to pay forward her good fortune and incredible support, and ensure other children can enjoy the same support she's had. And if you can't donate (times are expensive right now, we appreciate!) then please do come along and cheer them on (or may swim a length to two yourself!) on the day if you can.
Thank you so so much!
