Fundraiser for Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Trust

Callum Cairns is raising money for Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Trust

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 · 25 April 2026 to 26 April 2026 ·

The aims of Hessilhead are to rescue, repair, rear and release orphaned and injured wildlife. Hessilhead deals with approximately 3000 wildlife casualties a year. Patients range from common garden birds, hedgehogs, foxes, swans and owls to the more unusual such as otters, deer, seals, peregrines and pine martens.

Story

As spring arrives, we approach our busiest time during spring and summer. This means many more patients in need of care, and the increased running costs associated with that.

To help with this, Callum (one of our Wildlife Rehabilitators) and his partner Laura are taking on a new challenge to Raise funds for Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue which will be put towards the increased running costs and the completion of much needed new enclosures to house the increasing number of patients needing our attention

Nervously looking forward to this new challenge, Callum and Laura will be taking on Kilt Walk's "The Mighty Stride", a 23 Mile trek from Glasgow Green to Balloch on the 26th of April.

If you are able to, any donations no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated by both our team and our patients.
