I’m taking on the Surrey Hills Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for something incredibly important to me – an international Girlguiding trip to Spain that I’ve been selected to take part in.

This tough hike covers the three highest points in the Surrey Hills: Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill and Box Hill.

The opportunity to go on an International trip with Girlguiding didn’t come easily. Each year, Surrey West Girlguiding runs a competitive selection process to choose a team of girls and leaders for international experiences. I feel incredibly lucky to have been selected – but everyone taking part is expected to fundraise the full cost themselves.

While this challenge will help me get to Spain, it’s about something much bigger too. Girlguiding creates opportunities for young people to build confidence, gain independence, and experience things they might not otherwise have access to.

The trip will push me outside my comfort zone, helping me develop skills like teamwork, leadership and communication, while making lasting memories and friendships.
