Story

Challenge 50 - Charity Event

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, serving and retired employees are taking part in an endurance challenge from Thursday 26 September to Saturday 28 September 2024.

Based on the David Goggin's endurance challenge, our participants, either as individuals or in teams of 2, 3 and 4 will complete 5K, every 5 Hours, for 50 Hours, walking, jogging or running.

Each 5K will take place at a scheduled time of day, with representation from across the service, including our Senior Leadership Team, Training Team, Admin Staff and Operational Firefighters.

All proceeds will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, to whom we are very grateful for as they continued to support our serving and retired firefighters and their families across the country.

We thank you for your ongoing community support, and thank you for your donation to such a brilliant cause. Good luck to all of our participants!
