Story
Highgate Transportation (HTp), in partnership with Rougemont School, are proud to be fundraising for Velindre Cancer Charity, as HTp Director Fiona Bennett and Business Development Manager Judith Caddick take on Women in Property’s Sweatworking: London to Paris challenge, cycling 292km (180 miles) over three days, September 2026.
HTp is proud to be working alongside Rougemont School to help raise awareness of this important cause. Throughout the year, students from Infants to Sixth Form, together with staff and parents, will support Velindre Cancer Charity through a range of fundraising activities, including dress down days and a whole school Ride-a-thon, where students will take to their bikes for Velindre. (More information will follow).
This challenge is about far more than the miles travelled. We are riding in support of something that truly matters - Velindre.
Velindre Cancer Charity supports thousands of patients and families across Wales each year, and with 1 in 2 people likely to face cancer in their lifetime, its work touches almost all of us in some way. The charity provides vital services, research, equipment and patient support beyond NHS provision, helping ensure that people not only receive treatment, but feel cared for, supported and treated with dignity during some of life’s most challenging moments.
All funds raised through this challenge and associated events will go directly to Velindre Cancer Charity, with only essential event and participation costs deducted where necessary, helping maximise the support provided to patients, families and vital cancer care and support services.
Every mile we cycle represents hope, and every donation helps deliver comfort, care and progress in the fight against cancer.
