Story
HTM’s own Danny Thorn and Steve Scully are taking on an incredible endurance challenge — two back-to-back long-distance cycle rides in support of charity.
On Saturday 20th June, they will be riding Chase the Sun, an organised endurance event that starts in Minster-on-Sea, Kent, and finishes at Weston-super-Mare seafront. Covering an astonishing 205 miles in a single day, the ride begins in the early hours, with a 4am start, and pushes riders to chase daylight all the way across the country.
But the challenge doesn’t stop there.
After completing Chase the Sun, Danny and Steve will get back on their bikes the very next day. On Sunday 21st June, they’ll ride 97 miles from Weston-super-Mare seafront back home to Southampton, completing an epic weekend of endurance cycling.
This huge physical and mental challenge is being undertaken to raise vital funds and awareness for charity. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a real difference and provide motivation for Danny and Steve as they take on this remarkable journey.
Thank you for your support!

We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
