Help Us Celebrate Our Dad’s 70th Birthday by supporting Myeloma UK.
This year, our amazing Dad turns 70 — a milestone we are unbelievably grateful to celebrate. Four years ago, he was diagnosed with Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer that occurs in the bone marrow. Since then, he has bravely faced this illness every single day, undergoing continuous treatment to keep it at bay.
Without the life-saving drugs and care he’s received, this birthday may never have come. We are forever thankful to the researchers, doctors, and everyone involved in developing the treatments that have given us more precious time with him.
To show our appreciation and to honour our Dad — the strongest, kindest man we know — on August 23rd 2025, Chris, Amy, Ellen, Ilona and Phil AKA The Higlets, will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, covering 24 miles in 12 hours, to raise money for Myeloma UK.
Now, anyone who knows us, knows that fitness isn’t exactly our strong suit. We're definitely more used to a bar crawl than climbing mountains, so yes— this is a MASSIVE challenge for us. But it’s nothing compared to what our Dad has endured with strength, dignity, and humour.
We want to match his determination and spirit by pushing beyond our limits, and in doing so, raise money for a cause incredibly close to our hearts.
Every penny will go towards helping families like ours, and supporting the vital research and innovation needed to continue developing life-saving treatments for Myeloma.
Please support us if you can – whether by donating, sharing, or cheering us on. Let’s celebrate our Dad in the best way possible — by giving back.
