Story
On the 14th June 2023, I lost my beloved brother to muscular dystrophy, a condition that slowly took away his strength, but never his spirit. As a way to honour his memory, I’ve decided to take on a challenging hike up Snowdonia.
My brother had the most wonderful character. He was a joy to be around, and everyone who knew him loved him. His positivity and warmth made any moment brighter, and he had this incredible way of making everyone feel valued. Despite his disability, he never once let it stop him from pursuing his passions. He lived life fully, with an unwavering determination to never let anything hold him back. His resilience and joy were truly inspiring.
The pain of losing him is something I carry every day, but through this hike, I hope to raise awareness and funds for muscular dystrophy, to support research and help others who are facing similar challenges. Every step I take up Snowdonia will be a tribute to my brother's incredible courage and resilience, even as he fought against this devastating disease.
This cause is personal to me. Muscular dystrophy doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed, it impacts families, communities, and everyone who loves them. I’m asking for your support, whether it’s through donations, sharing my story, or simply sending positive thoughts as I embark on this journey.
Please help me honour my brother’s legacy. Your contribution will make a real difference in the fight against muscular dystrophy.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
