A last minute entry for London marathon
I have been fundraising for Marie Curie for just over 11 years. I first had contact with them when my dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. My dad being the strong proud man he was didn't want to go into the hospice as that's where people go to die. So instead he had help to stay at home. Then just as I was doing my first fundraising trek for them my husband Neil who had a terminal illness also needed there help. So I decided to use whatever means possible to raise funds so other's also had the care and compassion at the end of theirs lives that Marie Curie gives.
Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in peoples homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.
