Misogyny and sexism are a big problem. As we are all aware, negative attitudes towards women are being driven by social media, among other reasons, into mainstream thinking. Too often, women who have suffered domestic abuse, rape, coercive control or exploitation are not protected, and are even criminalised by the very institutions meant to help them.

The CWJ, led by renowned human rights lawyer, Harriet Wistrich, challenges that discrimination and seeks to expose failures, change laws and drive public awareness so that women have equal access to their justice system. This is vital, urgent work.
