Hilsea Lines Shore Walk - Fundraising & Awareness · 22 June 2025

Solent MS Therapy Centre provides Oxygen Therapy, Neuro-Physiotherapy and a range of Complementary Therapies to help people with Multiple Sclerosis and other conditions. We are a self-funding charity and it costs £170,000 a year to keep the Centre open. We very much appreciate your support.

Story

*EDIT*

Following the sad news of the sudden passing of Sue Emery, we have renamed the event "Walk for Sue."

Sue was a great advocate and supporter of the Centre, having been a Member, Volunteer and Trustee here for many years. If you would like to attend but are not able to do the walk, please come along anyway as the picnic area (near to the Mountbatten Centre Car Park - we will make sure you can see us!) will be manned throughout the event. Please bring your own picnic and we will raise a glass (or a thermos cup!) to Sue.

***

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page and supporting the Solent MS Therapy Centre.

Following the popularity and success of last year's Hilsea Lines Shore Walk it was suggested that we make it an annual event. Staff, Volunteers, Members and Supporters of the Centre will be walking and wheeling our way along Hilsea Lines to raise awareness of, and funds for, the Centre.

It would be great if you could join us - the route is suitable for wheelchairs, walkers etc and your 4 legged friends are very welcome too!

Meet at the shore by the Mountbatten Centre in time for an 11:00 start. BYO picnic (this will be at the end so you can leave it in the car, or there will be people 'manning' the picnic area during the walk if you'd like to leave it with them). If you have a Centre t shirt please wear it, or dress in blue and white if possible.

Many thanks, I'm sure it will be a great event again!
