Story
My amazing brother, Hinesh, passed away suddenly at just 36 years old due to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Hinesh had lived with epilepsy his whole life, but he never let it hold him back. He embraced every moment, lived life to the full, and was always up for an adventure.
To honour his memory, I’m taking on a huge challenge: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this September, with Hinesh’s best friend, Matt. This climb was on Hinesh’s bucket list, and we had planned to do it together back in 2020 — but the pandemic forced us to cancel. Now, we’re determined to reach the summit in his name, just before what would have been his birthday.
We're raising money for SUDEP Action, a charity close to our hearts. Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death. SUDEP Action focus on providing tools to help keep people safe and on the priorities that bereaved families believe are important: To prevent deaths; To be supported; To be involved.
SUDEP Action raise awareness about SUDEP and provide crucial support to families who have experienced this kind of sudden, devastating loss.
Any donation — no matter how small — will help honour Hinesh’s memory 💙
