HIVED's fundraiser for South Asian Heritage Month

Waasi Uddin is raising money for South Asian Health Action

South Asian Heritage Month

To achieve greater equity in the design, quality, choice and cultural appropriateness of social well-being and health care services through critical dialogue with South Asian communities and mainstream institutions.

Story

HIVED is raising money for South Asian Health Action as part of our South Asian Heritage Month initiatives, to support a cause that directly impacts the community we are celebrating.

South Asian Health Action works to address health inequalities that disproportionately affect South Asian communities, particularly in areas such as diabetes, heart disease, organ donation, and mental health. Their advocacy, education, and outreach are crucial to improving long-term health outcomes.

By fundraising, HIVED is not only celebrating South Asian culture and heritage. We are also contributing to meaningful, lasting change within the community. It is a way for HIVED to give back and stand in solidarity with the values of inclusion, equity, and support.
