Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service vs Unity 101FC Charity Football Match · 11 December 2022

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service will be playing Unity 101 FC which is an award-winning charity football club promoting community cohesion via community campaigns on and off the pitch.

The Charity football match will take place on Sunday 11th December and is to raise money for The Firefighters Charity and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) mental health Charity.

The Firefighters Charity exists to help all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family to live healthier and happier by offering support with mental & physical health and social wellbeing.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) Charity is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day. Donations go towards delivering services that include answering calls and webchats on their helpline, to working with communities across the country and campaigning for better awareness and understanding of suicide and its devastating impact.

Any donations are greatly appreciated - thank you!
