Story
This June I will be trekking and camping for 7 days as I ascend Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free standing mountain in the world at just under 6000 metres. Climbing at ‘high altitude’ can be incredibly difficult regardless of your health and fitness, causing uncertainty for even the most experienced climbers.
I will be completing this challenge to raise money for ‘Back On Track Manchester’ which is a charity that aims to lift people out of poverty and prevent homelessness by making positive changes last. This could be managing problematic drug/alcohol use, living a crime-free life, improving mental health and wellbeing, or finding a stable home.
With the current cost of living crisis still hurting so many families in our local area, I was keen to play my part to help so am raising money to support those most vulnerable. This is a self funded trip so all donations will go directly to my chosen charity allowing them to undertake their valuable work throughout Manchester. I would appreciate your support!
