On Saturday 6th September 2025, Emma, Tim, Gail & Tim are taking part in the Keswick Race the Sun – a challenging and beautiful race through the heart of the Lake District. It’s a test of endurance, spirit, and determination – and we are taking part in support of Action Medical Research (see below about the amazing work this charity does)

Keswick's 'Race the Sun' is a team adventure! Bike, hike, and paddle through the Lake District, racing against the sun that will push, a couple of us, to our limits to complete a course that sees us bike (34miles), hike (10.5miles summiting on Skiddaw) and paddle (2miles) between dawn and dusk, racing the sun on this triathlon-style adventure

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.
