Story
This year I am joining a team of slightly delightfully unhinged individuals on a 24 hour open water swim relay to raise money for Level Water – a charity close to my heart that provides children with disabilities the chance to learn to swim.
We’ll be in the water in the afternoon, swimming under the stars at 2am, and still be in the water again at sunrise... 🌅
We’ll be cheering one another on in the wee small hours, huddling round fire pits at midnight and making new friends in the water.
Between us we will swim over 75 miles from noon to noon.
Level Water provides specialist one-to-one swimming lessons for children with physical and sensory disabilities.
Once each child has learnt to swim 15m frontcrawl and backstroke, they can be safe and independent in the water, and can join group swimming lessons or join their local competitive club.
But it's not just about swimming... Through developing independence in the water, and being able to join mainstream classes, each child develops confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
If we can help to give children physical, social and emotional confidence through sport, we can change their trajectory in life.
Every £15 donated will fund one life-changing lesson. That’s why we're doing this. That’s why your support means so much 🙏
And if this event makes you think: “I want to do more than just donate, I actually want to do that”….then don’t wait! Go to

and join us. You’ll raise money. You’ll do something that scares you. And you’ll love every second of it.
