Story
This summer, we will be completing the "Walk for Endo 2026" from the 1st July. This is a special event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the 1 in 10 individuals living with endometriosis, including myself. Many endure an average wait of over nine years before receiving a diagnosis, highlighting the urgent need for greater advocacy and research.
My aim is to complete upto 9,000 steps every day of July to match the time it takes to be diagnosed, with Tyler then running the same kilometers. (If I walk 9,000 steps, Tyler would then run 9k).
My own experience with this illness has been difficult. It took 8 years to be officially diagnosed, but the journey did not stop after this. The stigma of Endometriosis being a menstrual disease means that receiving proper support and help is a continuous battle, despite a large majority, (including myself) experiencing chronic pain and numerous other awful symptoms every single day.
We are completing this challenge because we want to be able to help provide vital resources and fund research for others who are struggling with Endometriosis too - With the hope that those diagnosed in the future will no longer have to fight to be heard.
All donations are incredibly appreciated, and we will be updating this page with our progress each day! 🎗💛
