Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am running the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for the MS Society.

My dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a few months after I was born and he continues to fight MS everyday. Over the last 25 years, this condition has played a huge role in our family’s life. It hasn’t always been easy as MS is constantly changing, unpredictable and progressing.

But we’ve always faced it together. As a family, we’ve learned, adapted, and supported each other through every step. My mum, in particular, has been an incredible source of strength. She has carried so much of the day-to-day reality of MS with patience, love, and resilience.

What has stood out to me most, though, is my dad himself. Despite everything MS has thrown at him, his humour, glass-half-full attitude, and intelligence have never changed. His outlook and determination to keep living life to the fullest have shaped the person I am today, and he continues to inspire me more than he knows.

I’m running, not just for my dad, but also for the many families who are navigating the same challenges. The MS Society provides the kind of support, information, and community that every family facing MS deserves to have behind them. And I’m proud to raise money to help make that support possible.

Any amount you can spare would mean a lot to me. And if you’re around in London on 26th April 2026, I’d love to see you on the route, I’ll appreciate all the extra cheers!!

Holly xx

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel.

More than 150,000 people in the UK have MS. Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.

The MS Society is here to help everyone live well with MS.

Every year they reach thousands of people with help and support through their MS Helpline and local groups. They campaign on the issues that matter most to the MS community. And they invest in ground-breaking research to stop MS in its tracks.

Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
