i’m doing 70 miles in November with Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of my papa. 💜

i want to raise awareness of a cancer that affects so many families, often far too late.

the symptoms of pancreatic cancer can be easily mistaken for other less serious conditions at first, meaning it’s often diagnosed when the disease is at an advanced stage, when there are very limited treatment options.

5% of people survive their pancreatic cancer diagnosis for 10 years or more. my papa was one of the people who didn’t get that chance. he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away less than 14 days later. he didn’t even get the chance to fight it. that’s why raising awareness and funding research means so much to me. 💜

if you knew my papa, you knew he lit up every room he walked into. he was the kindest, most accepting man ever and made everyone around him feel so loved. he was such a big part of so many people’s lives, and i want to do all i can to carry on his legacy and make him proud.

every mile i walk is for him. 💜
