Last year, I completed Tough Mudder for the first time, raising £1,100 for the MS Trust. This year, I’m pushing myself even further — aiming to raise money for The Endometriosis Foundation, and to complete the full course and every obstacle in under 3 hours.

Lauren Smith (@lauren_strongallyear) will be supporting me getting run ready this time round 🏃‍♀️💪🏻

I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 18, after six years of extreme pain and heavy bleeding. I was only able to get my diagnosis because I had access to private healthcare; my symptoms were repeatedly dismissed within the NHS because I was considered “too young” to be experiencing them.

Endometriosis affects millions, yet it remains widely misunderstood and under-diagnosed:

●1 in 10 women in the UK have endometriosis

●On average, it takes 8 years to receive a diagnosis

●Many sufferers face fertility challenges, with miscarriage up to 76% more likely

As a society, we need to be more aware of the disease and the challenges it presents. The Endometriosis Foundation strives to develop educational resources, offer community support and awareness initiatives.

Alongside Tough Mudder, I’ll also be running my bake raffles again this year, with three prizes available:

●1 full-size bake of your choice (traybake, 12 cupcakes, 6-inch celebration cake, cookies, etc.)

●2 traybakes (separate prizes) of your choice (brownies, cookie dough bars, millionaire’s shortbread, crumble bars, etc.)

Raffle entries are £5 each, and winners will be drawn after the event is completed.

Thank you so much for supporting this cause — every donation helps raise awareness, fund vital research, and support those living with endometriosis. 💛
