As some of you know our lovely Gubby (my mother-in-law) had the devastating news this year that she had a lymphoma on her pancreas. She has undergone 6 rounds of chemotherapy and we are hoping that in a few weeks she will be given the all clear. She's had her treatment at the headland unit and since the day we had that terrible news the whole haematology team have given her brilliant care. I would love to raise some money for the headland unit to say thank you for their care.

As a nurse on Critical Care we now have a beautiful healing garden where we can take our patients to enjoy some outside space and fresh air. It's a place for them to spend time with families and their pets. The garden needs to maintained so I'd also like to be able to help with the upkeep by raising a bit of money!

I'm running the Lakeland 100 next Friday, it's a 100 mile foot race through the lake district. After saying I'd never do another 100 mile race after the 1st one I seem to find myself one week out from another. It's going to be hard, it's going to be hilly and I will probably cry.

Any money I can raise to help either of these causes would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you.xx
