Story
In August, I'm walking 25km as part of the South West Ultra Challenge to raise money for Lewes Homelink – a local housing support charity close to my heart.
Lewes Homelink was founded in 1998 by local volunteers and community groups who saw the devastating impact of homelessness and housing insecurity in the Lewes District. Since then, they’ve helped hundreds of individuals and families at risk of homelessness – providing practical help, advocacy, and vital access to privately rented homes.
Homelink’s mission is simple: to prevent homelessness before it happens. They do this by offering interest-free loans for rent in advance and deposits, providing housing advice, and supporting people to stay in their homes. Their work is especially important now, as the cost of living and housing crisis continues to push more people into vulnerable situations.
The money I raise will go directly towards this work – helping people secure safe, stable homes and avoid the trauma of becoming homeless.
This charity also means a lot to my dad, who has supported them for years, and I’m proud to take on this challenge in support of a cause that brings real change to people’s lives.
Any donation, big or small, will make a difference – thank you for your support!
