Story
I’m very fortunate to have been given a place by Footprints Baby Loss Twin and Triplet Support to run the London Marathon on Sunday 25th April 2027. For those of you who know (part of) my story, Footprints has always and continues to hold a very special place in my heart. Unfortunately, due to mounting health complications we lost Eirian in the second trimester, but carried and birthed them alongside their Twin, Madoc in 2024.
Often shrouded in silence, I take moments to express my grief and loss experiences through inner monologue (often occurring when I run) and through written words (when the grief hits the hardest).
Words that prioritise connection through love, not through goodbye.
To understand why your support matters so deeply, I want to share an expression of love letter I wrote to Eirian.
AN EXPRESSION OF LOVE
My heart is broken.
Yet overflowing with love for you.
I’m stagnating from reliving and ruminating over everything related to you.
I ache not being able to hold you. To see you. To watch you grow.
I yearn to see a sign from you. To know that your presence is here.
But more, I deeply crave that you know and feel that I am with you.
With you at and in every moment.
For you to feel my warmth surrounding you. Holding you close.
And know that my heart will always beat for you.
Although time may pass quickly, giving the illusion of ever greater distance between us, it is unable to diminish what has, and always will be part of us. Eachother.
You are my love, and that love is immeasurable and never-ending.

With the language of grief carrying me along the 26.2 mile course, I hope to find my own personal sovereignty.
Of embracing my emotional landscape.
Accepting impermanence. Learning to integrate loss into my ongoing life story.
Moving authentically and purposefully with comfort instead pf pain.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any support you can kindly give myself and this cause.
Holly
