On the 20th November 2025, I sadly lost my mum, Mary Louise Ridge, after a six-month battle with terminal throat cancer. It was an incredibly difficult time, but we made the most of every precious day together.

In the last weeks of Mum's illness, Sue Ryder provided exceptional care and support, not only for her but for our whole family. Their kindness and compassion helped make an unimaginable situation more manageable, allowing us to create cherished memories and spend valuable time together when it mattered most.

This was not the first time Sue Ryder had helped our family. Thirteen years earlier, they provided the same outstanding care to my Nana, Moya. Experiencing their support firsthand has shown me just how vital their work is.
