Thank you for visiting my page! On Sunday 27th April 2025, I am running my first ever marathon - the London Marathon - to fundraise for Leicester Hospitals Charity.

Why Leicester Hospitals Charity? In 2019, after a routine health check-up, my Mum received a bladder cancer diagnosis which was quite unexpected (and as you can imagine also quite upsetting).

To tackle this, my Mum bravely underwent numerous cancer treatments with the Urology Department at Leicester General Hospital. The treatments she received achieved varying degrees of success, and culminated in major surgery to remove her bladder and replace it with a stoma so that she can continue to live life to the full.

Multiple follow-up checks have since confirmed the surgery was a huge success, and my Mum is thankfully now cancer free and can continue to live and enjoy her life.

I have SO many people to thank for treating and supporting my Mum throughout her cancer journey, especially the doctors and staff in the Urology Department at Leicester General, whose incredible work enabled my Mum to become cancer free.

At least half of the funds I raise through this run will be donated directly to the work of Leicester General's Urology Department. The other half will be shared across all three hospitals supported by Leicester Hospitals Charity to where this vital fundraising support is most needed.
