Kayleigh Watson and Sophie Shaw along with their partners Liam George and Danny Shaw are running the Great North Run to raise money in the name of their best Friend Holly Braithwaite.

Holly was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia in 2020 just over a year after giving birth to her daughter Alba.

Holly is being cared for in Tees Grange Care Home. Her family and friends visit daily, however, due to the nature of Holly's illness we, as her friends, have found ourselves feeling helpless. After looking into it, we have decided that Alzheimer's Research UK is the best charity to raise money for in terms of research.

We are looking forward to doing something that could hopefully make a difference to anyone else suffering from this cruel illness, now and in the future. We are running for our beautiful, bright and funny Holl.
