Hackney Half Marathon 2026 · 17 May 2026 ·

A team of incredible CoppaFeel! runners are taking on the Hackney Half Marathon on 17th May 2026 to help ensure all breast cancers in young people are diagnosed early and accurately.

Story

In 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer at the age of 37.

I couldn’t remember the last time I’d done a self exam, one day out of the blue I just decided I should start checking and that day I found a lump, which turned out to be three.

After further testing with all the information and numbers you get given when your diagnosed, my tumours were grade 2 & 3 in terms of aggressiveness (3 being the highest number you can get).

I have no doubt that without this early detection my diagnosis would have been a lot worse, if not terminal.

After 10 months of aggressive treatment, I’m so lucky to say I have made a full recovery & am now 3 years cancer free.

CoppaFeel is an amazing UK based charity that I used regularly for information and support.

I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon this year to raise money to support this wonderful charity. More information about them can be found below.

Thank you so much for your support!

Lots of love X

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest.

We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
