Group Bicycle Ride · 3 September 2025

We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure children and young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Join our fight.

Story

A number of you will be aware that ‘Holty’s Boys’ have previously fundraised by; cycling from London to Brighton 🚴 Hosting charity football tournaments ⚽️ Completing the Three Peaks Challenge 🥾

This time we are going bigger and bolder!

The motive behind these fundraising events has primarily been in memory of Lewis, our cherished friend who we hold great memories of 💙 But also to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention for the charity ‘Young Minds ‘ who are the UK’s leading charity fighting for a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.

Sadly, the age of children and teenagers being affected by depression & suicide is getting progressively younger, even as young as eleven!

Which is why we have chosen to raise money for this charity.

By donating to the Young Minds charity, you’re are contributing to; keeping helplines open, providing access to support earlier on, training parents, carers and communities to recognise and support young people, campaigning for change & improvement to the NHS, online & local services.

So, over 3 days at the start of September 2025, we will come together to complete the London - Brussels cycle. Cycling almost 400km over a 3-day period is going to be our biggest challenge yet!

We are all made up of different sizes and fitness levels so this is no easy feat, but knowing that we are keeping Lewis’ memory alive and raising funds for a cause that is the biggest killer of young boys and men will be our driving force to complete this challenge.

Thank you all SO much for your continued support 🙏🏼 we couldn’t make this difference to saving lives without all of your kind generosity.
