As we embrace the month of May, it's not just the blooming flowers and warmer weather that we celebrate, but also the spirit of equality and diversity.

This month, we shine a spotlight on the significance of marriage and civil partnerships, acknowledging the beauty and importance of love in all its forms.

Equality and diversity are the cornerstones of a progressive society, and recognizing the rights and celebrations of individuals from all walks of life is pivotal. By honouring Marriage and Civil Partnerships during this month, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusivity and acceptance, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or any other defining characteristic. Marriage is a journey that two individuals embark upon together, promising to stand by each other through thick and thin. It's a beautiful union that transcends boundaries and fosters a sense of belonging and companionship.

This month I would like us to try and help others in need by raising money for a very special charity Gift Of A Wedding.

This charity is all about bringing joy, love and happiness to those with a terminal or life-shortening illness. They do that by gifting wedding services and vow renewals to people regardless of age, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation with the help of the generous UK wedding and hospitality industry and gifted volunteers all around the UK.

I will be holding a cake and natter on Thursday the 23rd May 12-2 in RE4 with all money raised going to the charity.
