Holyhead RNLI's Mayday Walk Up Snowdon

Holyhead RNLI is raising money for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
Fundraising in North Wales in 2025

Story

On Sunday, 11th of May 2025 the crew of Holyhead Lifeboat Station plan to walk to the summit of Snowdon ('Yr Wyddfa'), an elevation of 1085 metres, 3,560 feet above sea level.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the highest point in the British Isles outside of the Scottish Highlands, and their aim is to raise vital funds to that they can continue 'Saving Lives at Sea'.

The average lifeboat station in Wales, North West England and the Isle of Man costs £155,000 to run. We are asking all our friends and communities across North Wales to donate what they can to keep us running and so that we can keep our communities safe in and around the water.

From Silloth around the coast to Penarth and across the water on the Isle of Man, we will always be there to keep you and your loved ones safe, on our watch, there will be no preventable deaths on our coasts. Please help us fulfil that mission.
