Laura Goodridge is raising money for Stroke Association

Climbing Mount Snowdon · 2 May 2026

Every day in May, another 240 people will face the life-changing impact of a stroke. This Stroke Awareness Month, let's Make May Purple to raise awareness and fund vital support for all people affected by stroke.

Story

We assist people who have experienced strokes, supporting them to live well and maintain their independence at home. We see first-hand the impact a stroke can have, not just on the person, but on their families and loved ones too. The Stroke Association does vital work to fund research, provide support, and campaign for better care, and that mission matters deeply to us.

So this May, 11 of us are taking on the challenge of climbing Snowdon together. We are walking as a team, and we will reach the summit together.

If you can spare anything at all, every penny goes directly to supporting people whose lives have been changed by stroke. Thank you so much for your support.

Every day, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke.

With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible. Help us support all people affected by stroke.

The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

It’s only thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors like you that we can provide that vital support.
