Home-Start Basingstoke & Deane provide a unique local service for families facing challenging times. Supervised by a professional staff team, their trained and experienced volunteers are role models for parents in their own homes, helping them develop good routines, encouraging them to interact positively with their children and to build support networks in the community.

Their home-visiting service is complemented by a number of peer support groups in the local community which bring parents and children together.

The families Home-Start work with are not failing, and they are not fixing them, they are walking beside them offering them the friendship, encouragement and opportunity to learn the skills they need to get to a happy place together as a family.
