Who We Are

We support some of the most disadvantaged and hard to reach local families who are caring for children under 5. For over 27 years, we have been there for these families who have nowhere else to turn, with no other means of support. Our supported families are incredibly resilient and welcome our volunteers into their home to help make sure that their children are getting the best start in life, whatever their circumstances. Our parents might be coping with their or their child’s physical or emotional ill health; living in temporary or inappropriate accommodation; surviving domestic abuse; being trafficked or a victim of modern slavery; having no recourse to public funds or coping with poverty or high levels of debt. Last year, no matter what our families’ situations were, almost all of them said their biggest challenge was feeling scared, alone and overwhelmed. Our volunteers are there for them through all of this.
