Hello there,

I am Thomas Corbett the philanthropy chair for the Psi Upsilon chapter at Clemson University and I am a cancer survivor.

I am 16 years removed from Wilms tumor in which I had a left nephrectomy, and went through chemo and radiation treatment.

I am fortunate to be here today because of the treatment and care at New York Presbyterian/Columbia Irving Medical Center.

After the incredible care I got during my hardest time my family partnered to run multiple fundraisers through Hope & Heroes to help contribute to such an important cause. We did this for multiple years in a row leading to great success in raising funds for those kids dealing with Wilms Tumor just as I did.

I became the Philanthropy chair of my fraternity this semester to allow myself to use my platform for an incredible cause. This page exists in an effort to show how much has been raised and to hopefully help encourage those who find themselves here to give what they can to a cause that could truly use it.

Our initial goal was $1600 as I just hit my 16th year cancer free. We blew right past this goal and our updated goal is now $5000!

Hope & Heroes is a regional charity that supports top-flight pediatric cancer centers throughout the tri-state area. We fund ground-breaking research on pediatric cancer and blood disorders and comprehensive care that encompasses all aspects of a patient family’s treatment experience.
