Hornsea Inshore Rescue is an independent rescue service looking after this section of the East Yorkshire Coast. It is manned entirely by volunteers, and funded by the generosity of the general public and local businesses. All donations to Hornsea Rescue go directly into the charity funds.

Story

Hornsea Inshore Rescue has the money for a defibrillator but if it’s located inside the boat launch cafe it will only be available when staff are on hand to assist.

A defibrillator on the outside wall of the boat launch is almost triple the cost but it can be accessed 24/7 by any member of the public.

Hornsea already has a public access defibrillator at the Hub and the Floral Hall but users of the south end of the beach need a facility they can access in moments.
