Story

Thank you so much for visiting our page.

As a small business community in Hornsea, we identify a charity to raise funds for during our Hornsea Marketplace events - our fundraising events are always related to our Hornsea community.

We are currently raising money for PAPYRUS in memory of a wonderful, friend, brother, son, grandson and much loved member of our community - Harry who we lost at the start of the year. Mental health affects everyone and we believe it is really important to raise awareness of emotional distress, particularly in young people.

We will be collecting funds in Harry's memory during our March Marketplace event on 9 - 10 March 2024 at the Hornsea Town Hall for PAPYRUS. All monies raised at our event will be shared with the charity, with Harry's family's permission.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving.

Thank you so much, Sher & Haley
