Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've been planning a cycle trip from London to Bridport (West Bay) for years, and for many reasons - time, inclination, laziness, calendar alignment - we haven't managed it.

Until now......

And so, from Monday 30th March to Friday 3rd April, Tiger, Hector and I (Sylvie will come down later, with a boat - more on that a bit later) will be cycling from East London to West Bay in Dorset. We're not very fit, though probably fitter than we have been, but we're quite determined and even had our bikes serviced.

We're doing it now because our calendars finally align, but mainly because it will be 10 years since Dolly (Lloyd) died and we want to commemorate him in a slightly different way. And in doing so, raise money for a charity that supports young people who have been bereaved. You can read more about The New Normal in the link to their website.

And back to the boat. Years ago, Hector and Dolly (mostly Dolly) made a viking boat for one of Hector's primary school projects. We plan to burn it when we get to West Bay, and we hope that it is something he would have liked and been amused by.
