Horseshoe Pass - 'Everest' Challenge · 12 May 2024

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

On May 12th, I and a dedicated team of cyclists will embark on an extraordinary ride to support Alzheimer's Research UK. In a powerful tribute to our loved ones affected by Alzheimer's, we're each taking on the challenge of climbing the iconic Horseshoe Pass (Llangollen, North Wales) a staggering 34 times – equivalent to scaling the height of Mount Everest.

Cycling the Horseshoe Pass 34 times in a single day is a huge physical and mental challenge that mirrors the resilience required to confront Alzheimer's. We invite you to join us in this monumental effort. Your support – whether through a donation, sharing our fundraiser, or cheering us on on the hill or at the Ponderosa Café from midnight till midnight – will make a tangible difference in the fight against Alzheimer's.

Every pound raised will fuel ground-breaking research searching for a cure that will bring us closer to a world without Alzheimer's. Join us as we pedal with purpose, united in our commitment to Cycling Everest for Alzheimer's Research. Together, we can turn mountains into milestones and transform the landscape of Alzheimer's research for a cure.

Thank you for supporting us,

Dan, Jo, Jed, Sean, Steve, Will, Mart, Alexander amd Simon (aka the Horseshoe Pass 'Everest' Team)
