Hotwells Primary is a "Small and Mighty" school in the heart of Bristol. We are a vibrant, diverse community, and we are on a mission to ensure our school building reflects the incredible creativity and energy of our students.

We want our school to look as vibrant on the outside as the children are on the inside. To do this, we are raising £4,000 to fund two transformative art projects that celebrate our unique Bristol heritage:

1. Bringing the "City Creature" Back to Life 🐉

Our playground features a landmark piece of Bristol street art by the renowned artist Andy Council. Over the years, this iconic mural has faded. We want to bring Andy back to reinstate his signature linework and "freshen up" this piece of local heritage. It’s seen by hundreds of people daily and is a symbol of pride for our students.

2. An Inspiring Space for Our "Mighty" Performers 🎭

Our school hall has recently been refurbished and is the central hub for our school life. However, the walls are currently a blank canvas. We have commissioned local artists Nancy and Belle (Nicola Scott) to create a brand-new, inspiring mural inside the hall. This space is where we hold assemblies, drama productions, and celebrations, and we want it to be an inspiring environment where our children can truly flourish.
