Support the Wilberforce University “Hounds of Sound” Marching Band

In just a short time, the “Hounds of Sound” Marching Band has transformed the lives of countless Wilberforce University students. This program has provided first-generation and low-income students a gateway to academic success, personal growth, and opportunities at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Through music, we’ve built a foundation of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, empowering students to overcome barriers and stay committed to their dreams. Alums often credit their time in the band with shaping their educational journeys and giving them the resilience to succeed in college and beyond.

Now, we need your help to take the next step. We’re raising $30,000 to send our band to the Battle in the Apple in Brooklyn, NY, on March 15, 2025, and the Dolla Watson Classic in Atlanta, GA, on April 26, 2025. This trip will allow our students to showcase their talent, build lasting connections, and experience opportunities that inspire a lifetime of success.
