Story

As the Mayor of Hounslow, I am leading a team of Hounslow Councillors and Officers of the Council in taking on 12.5 miles Walking West in support of CW+, the official charity of the NHS Trust that runs West Middlesex and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals. The funds raised through our walk will directly contribute to the new Ambulatory and Diagnostic Centre (ADC) currently being built at West Mid Hospital and due to open in 2026. The new centre will be a cutting-edge facility that will expand and improve cancer, renal and imaging services and bring vital care closer to home for thousands of residents of Hounslow, Brentford and Chiswick, and across West London.

CW+ is complementing the core £80m investment from NHS, by raising £1.5 million towards a much-needed cardio-MRI Scanner, making the new centre a welcoming and calming environment for patients, creating a garden and installing art, and improving training and education facilities for the amazing hospital staff. The target of £1.5m for this has reached the half-way mark, so do help us reach the full amount! To play our part, we took on this charity walk in support of this great cause—and every donation brings us one step closer to making it a reality.

Thank you for anything you can give.
