RE:ACT is an emergency and crisis response charity, operating in the UK and overseas.

They repurpose the hard-earned skills and experience of military veterans and turn them into exceptionally agile and resilient humanitarians, capable of rapidly deploying when people need immediate and urgent relief.

They provide direct humanitarian action when it's most needed, protecting the vulnerable and supporting critical infrastructure and frontline services.

REACT was on the ground in the Asni, Amizmiz and Imlil area's that were devastated by the 6.8 earthquake from 10th September (2 days after the earthquake struck) until 17 October 2023.

During that time we conducted the following whilst working with local charities and authorities:

27 Needs assessments of hard to reach and vulnerable villages to ascertain directly what their vital needs were (rather than assumed).

36 emergency Latrines built in 10 separate villages/towns to help improve sanitation and help prevent the spread of disease.

135 emergency shelter family tents purchased in Morocco and distributed to families in need.

Morocco is fantastic country I visit on regular basis and having travelled there a few days after the earthquake, felt I needed to do something.

A REACT Response Team has deployed to Morocco this month, to distribute emergency food supplies to communities in the High Atlas Mountains as they continue to recover from last September’s devastating earthquake.
