Will, Alf and Jack’s fundraiser for The Rifles Regimental Trust

Will Howard is raising money for The Rifles Regimental Trust
In memory of Jay Whiting

Tough Mudder London South 2026 · 19 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We support The Rifles & its antecedent regiments, including via The Rifles Benevolent Trust, charity No: 1119071, which incorporates Care for Casualties & the Always a Rifleman Programme. Together the Trusts support all serving Riflemen & veterans, with the AARP meeting mental health needs.

Story

On 7th January 2023, we tragically lost our cousin, Jay Whiting, in a car accident.

He wasn’t just our cousin – he was our mate, someone we shared much of our childhoods with and someone we all loved being with.

On Saturday 19th September, the three of us Howard boys will be taking on a 15km Tough Mudder in Jay’s memory.

Jay was serving with the British Army in the 1st Battalion, A Company, The Rifles at the time of his passing. We are therefore raising money for the Rifles Regimental Trust, a charity that supports Riflemen, veterans, serving soldiers and their families.

It feels only right to run in support of a cause that was so close to Jay and that continues to help others facing incredibly difficult times.

If you’re able to, we’d be hugely grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. Every contribution will go directly to the Rifles Regimental Trust.

Thank you for your support, and thank you, most of all, for helping us to honour Jay’s memory. 💚
