Howes Community Primary School - Fund raising for Alzheimer's Society

Howes Community Primary School is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Move Millions of Metres in May · 1 May 2026

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

At Howes, we pride ourselves on being a nurturing and caring school community where we look after one another and support those in times of need.

Many of our staff, families and wide community have been affected by the devastating impact of Alzheimer's, and we want to come together to make a difference.

Throughout the month of May, staff, children and the wider Howes community will be taking part in our "Move Millions of Metres" challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. Together, we are aiming to move millions of metres through a range of activities such as walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling kayaking - or anything else that can be measured in meters!

We would love for everyone to get involved.
