Story

Howes Percival will be taking on the Parks Trust 25 Mile Challenge in Milton Keynes on Friday 12 September 2025 to raise funds for Arthur Ellis.

Arthur Ellis is a Milton Keynes based charity which provides fast, accessible mental health support to children, young people and adults. They offer 1:1 mentoring without long waits, working with schools, GPs and other partners to reach those in need. Their goal is to build a lasting service that bridges the gaps in public mental health care.

The Parks Trust challenges you to complete a 25 mile route through the parkland of Milton Keynes in a day.

Starting in one of our semi-ancient woodlands, Howe Park Wood the 25 mile route guides you through the Tattenhoe Valley, to Furzton Lake and along the Loughton Valley and on to Lodge Lake. You’ll be introduced to the famous concrete cows as you make your way up through the North Loughton Valley and to the edge of Linford Lakes Nature Reserve. Turning south you’ll pass through Great Linford Manor Park and join the Grand Union Canal to Willen Lake and onto Campbell Park where you will discover many pieces of artwork and one of the best viewing points in Milton Keynes. The final part of the route follows the River Ouzel, through Ouzel Valley Park concluding at Caldecotte Lake.
